Teru's Trash Talk

It's been a slow news week because of the holidays, but we were able to find this relevant "news" item of timely interest:

The North Pole's global distribution specialist Kringle, Inc. has announced  the 2012 annual demonstration of on-board anaerobic digestion with biogas upgrading to power generation. The classic Rangifer tarandus high energymanure continues to be the feedstock of choice, while positive tests photobioreactor growth of heterophyllic algae show promise for increased production. The algae-to-bio-oil process has the added benefit of carbon dioxide capture, utilizing the Kringle Manufacturing plant's excess process heat and feeding the algae on the carbon-laden emissions.

Northern European strategic alliances continue to facilitate use of twin Jenbacher engines for this year's flights. The consortium has agreed that starting this time in 2013 one fleet will be converted to smaller and lighter bio-fueled jet packs. Successful tests of catalytic conversion of the biogas to advanced aviation fuel have been completed and trial flights will begin shortly after the Holiday Season. Interested parties are advised to be particularly good, for the next 24 to 48 hours. No contact information was provided; when asked, a jolly voice simply started, "Oh, Ho, Ho, Ho … We'll know…"

We wish all of you and yours a safe and Happy New Year!
