CHAGALL: The Recycling Dragon
CHAGALL: The Recycling Dragon: After retiring from talking trash and doing
garbage for 30 years, Marty Strauss wrote a story about a young dragon that lives in a canyon that is turned
into a landfill. At first Chagall is delighted with the free food and treasures delivered to him. But soon his
cave fills up and the aerosol cans and paint fumes explode when he sneezes. He needs help to solve his problem
or he will have to move.
This book is about that young dragon, only 300-years old who lives near a village. His home in the
canyon is threatened by piles of garbage being dumped into his home. He needs to find a solution to his
problem that will not force him to move to a new home. Chagall is a fun look at the recycling process through the
eyes of a dragon including examples on where your sorted materials go after they are collected, with a twist. This
publication is a fun educational book for children, teachers, and their parents to encourage problem solving,
innovation, and cooperation.
