Teru Talk Takes Top Spot
in 2014 Entrepreneurs Showcase Competition

Teru Talk's mantra of

strikes a global chord.

Auburn, CA - August 24, 2014. JDMT, Inc's waste conversion for resource recovery web service Teru Talk secured the top spot in Velocity Venture Capital's (VVC) 5th annual Entrepreneurs Showcase, competing with 21 other Sacramento region business startups for 10 scholarships to VVC’s Accelerator Program. Teru Talk took the top slot by attracting 4,622 votes, more than twice that of the company in second place. Teru Talk's supporters included business associates, family, and friends from the United States and globally. Each vote cost $1, and all tax-deductible donations go to support VVC's non-profit Entrepreneurs Campus in Folsom. Voting closed Wednesday, August 20 at midnight. There is one more round for competitors who ranked in the 9-22 positions. They are now submitting supplemental materials as they vie for the two remaining scholarships.

The scholarships are for placement into the Entrepreneurs Campus' Start-Up Boot Camp, a business development crash-course intended to polish business plans, explore market placement, and prepare start-ups for one-on-one introductions to the region's Angel, Venture Capital and Corporate investment community. At that stage, each competitor will prepare to pitch the investors for funding and support. Classes start this fall and end with final presentations at Demo Day in December.

"Every day, about half of what we harvest, mine, and manufacture gets tossed out as trash - what a waste! 100% recycling is now possible with all the new systems that bright folks invent. But how can you pick the right tools for the job?" Michael Theroux, Vice President of JDMT and Editor, face, and voice of Teru Talk, posed the question in a 2-minute video required of all Showcase contestants. He explained: "I've developed Teru Talk for that match-making process. Our proprietary global database streamlines the search for the clean conversion systems that can best recycle each and every kind of waste. Everyone wants a cleaner world. Renewable Energy and Green Goods recovered from waste can play a key role. Teru Talk keeps track of global waste conversion and serves up the information quickly, accurately and economically." The video ended with the plea, "Be part of our progress: Vote for Teru Talk!" and indeed, the marketplace did just that.

JDMT plans to transform Teru Talk from a web service supporting waste conversion into a stand-alone multi-layered business structure. The service is currently being maintained entirely in-house, and the sheer volumes of data under management now require adoption of a more sophisticated Big Data understructure and a clean and functional query interface. JDMT's goal is to attract strategic partners through this year's Entrepreneurs Showcase to make that happen.
